Description    
An O&M plan shuld describe what you do to operate and maintain your system. There are many benefits of recording this information in written plan. This plan gives you immediate access to: standard operating procedures; guidelines for start-up and emergency situations; equipment data ffor maintenance and parts replacement; organized records; detailed instructions for water sampling; phone numbers of key personnel, contractors, suppliers, and state and local officials; proper maintenance proceduces. Additionally, an O&M plan can be used as a training manual for future operators and satisfies a DEP requirement.

As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
Complete worksheets which represent an O&M plan, locate information that isn't readily available, and update the plan as necessary.
